I know Chisato's father is a worthless father in the drama, and such words coming from such a man is not something I would take seriously. But then, erase the worthless character, the quote becomes meaningful, don't you think?

*Let me explain with my minimal knowledge of Japanese language. There I typed the Kanji for easy reference.The kanji for 'people' and 'say things' when put together as one kanji will form a new kanji which brings the meaning of trust (shinjiru - 信 ). Note the kanji for 'people' is squished as radical on the left.

How hateful life can be by blaming everything on others. The future can never be sure of. The one step we take might change the world, it might also not. We never know. There's 50% of chance. We might as well take that 50% opportunity rather than wasting it, no?
